Remembrance Day is November 11. It commemorates the end of World War One and those who died in it (and those killed in subsequent wars). People in the UK and other places like Australia wear a red poppy on that day as a sign of remembrance. The red poppy grew plentifully in the fields of France, where so many soldiers died.
